It’s not surprising sites come and go on this superhighway that is the Internet, so we shall all appreciate an independent site like Newgrounds managed to remain standing despite larger conglomerate sites casting a shadow over it.
I remember it being one of the first sites I have ever accessed when I learned someone in the household had access to dial-up and Aol. I remembered it looking like what you now see in a “strawpage” today, with flashy .gifs n’ everything: including the obnoxious banner ads. Memes were born here as well, like Numa Numa and All Your Base.
Old boys of Newgrounds might’ve remembered the Sprite Movie surge that happened in the 2000s. I gotta admit, if I had access to Flash around that time, I would’ve been adding more to the sprite movie pile. Already went a few steps ahead, and got addicted to downloading video game sprites when I officially had my first computer. Man, the viruses I keep getting from said PC…
It was quite an era. Sometimes, I wish I could see the best parts of the early 2000s all over again; fortunately, pieces of it is still present on this site today so long as it didn’t have the misfortune of using copyrighted music. Ironically enough, it was Newgrounds that made me discover some memorable tracks both independent and corporate! Funny how exposure works, right, Viacom?
This came from The REAL Mushroom Kingdom Episode 3 and it’s where I first heard Iron Man by Black Sabbath
Eh, no need to get all bitter! ‘Tis a time of celebration! Who knows what the future may hold, so embrace the time we have at this very moment. So 30 cheers for every year this site stayed standing!

P.S: Also, @TomFulp, when is the Painter Boss Paradise DLC coming out? I see it on Steam but still has no release date.

Enjoyed reading this! I think the only official date for Painter Boss Paradise is "soon."
