Never understood Mario Zone. Unlike the other zones, it’s clear he built it himself, but for what purpose? A monument, but why the moving parts? A mech, but why wasn’t it ever used especially after he reclaimed it?

Yeah, that one is what I find weird and not the “entrance” to the ocean depths, the path that shrinks Mario down, or how he gets to space.
