Wouldn’t Sable always be Mario and Mabel be Luigi? I mean like their apron colors are exactly like the alternate you did and Sable is the older sibling. Still magnificent pieces, btw!

I was thinking more about their personalities and roles than anything else. Mabel is brash and outgoing, and is seen as the "face" of the Able Sisters shop in-universe. Sable is shy and timid, she mostly keeps to herself in the shadows and never really gets the recognition she deserves.
