Friggin’ imagine a universe where Nintendo used the Game & Watch method of distributing Game Boy games: Only one game per console. That probably would have made the Sega Game Gear a success!

They would have destroyed any chances of gaining traction.
Well, unless they priced the systems accordingly.
Like if it was like... 5-10$ per system or something it may have done ok... Definitely not to 30$ or so handheld games usually cost.
