I gotta admit, there really was quite an aesthetic from SMRPG! So much so, even the remake has trouble replicating it.

I think they're just simply going with what the modern games look like for consistency while keeping in the old style for some of the characters and locations

I thought they handled it well for the most part (I'm still playing through the game)

A rather odd mix! Pies made from a root vegetable of a rather strange color… You know what? Not that odd now that I think about it! Have you heard of Sweet Potato Casserole?

Not yet, but I imagine it must be delicious and nutritious! I learnt about Hawaiian sweet potato pie by looking at references for this piece. Here in my country there's a traditional sweet made from sweet potatoes that is shaped like a <3 (doce de batata-doce).

While mechanically, he seems interesting, but what matters most is his personality! He’s got a lot of shoes to fill!

personally i think the mercenary would make a great background character for a tf2 show if it appeared as several of them being the guards or generic merc for the main ones to fight before they reach their real objective
