Indeed! I haven't played the recent one at all, but I have good memories of the more evolution-focused gameplay (well, except for the extremely pushed basics such as Scyther and Electabuzz).

Now that’s odd, how does one accidentally do a category run?

ADDENDUM: Oh, that’s just a casual run! 😂 After playing Fusion for the first time in years on the Switch, I also barely got any of the upgrades because of how easy you can miss them! The late bosses were HELL because of that!

It's a joke, I finished the game with less than half of the total energy tanks and few bombs. Usually I'm really thorough and get above 80% but I think a lot of items in Fusion were really well hidden.
