Hehehe, it's a weird mix, yeah. Thank you for such a positive rating, it's greatly appreciated.
Now your next mission is to find this dude and show it to him personally.
maybe he has a ng account and saw this but we don't know xD
This is the Diglett thing all over again. We’re never going to see what’s below his head, are we!?
nope! maybe...
It can be 100F midsummer and you would still feel chilly with this environment!
So true!
I think I would have been more into SMB if the style was just like the polished one you have made. I grew up with the SNES, so I wasn’t really digging the NES color palette anyway.
I was kind of fascinated by the evolution of the SMB style growing up, tho I def agree SMB1 is the least appealing one to me visually, even tho it's super iconic. Looking at how SMB3 looks or even 2 I think something like what I did would have certainly been technically feasible, but I think a large part of it's rudimentary look is because it was likely the dev's first NES game. That said what a technical achievement of a first NES game it was!
Pretty! Encourages a fellow to walk far just to see what’s off in the distance!
Thanks! I really liked how idyllic the grass in the reference photo looked.
So what’s the next step in order to make our perfect clone of him?
Just wait until 3D printing gets a bit more advanced and we're done
One of those pieces where it’s clearly telling a story, but only the guy that made the request is the only one that can decipher it!
ADDENDUM: Oh! Well that answers a lot… Aw, bit of a bummer that the mystery ceased.
It's just the 'Macrocosmos' spell from Final Fantasy XV, actually!
…You know, I still don’t understand the animatronic/costume hybrid idea that screw this nutcase over! What’s the functionality of wearing an animatronic as a suit?
I believe that the first animatronics were not so well debugged, so in some cases they were replaced by people. And, probably, saving money
To be honest, after the many monstrosities in later games, these bug monsters do not seem all that scary: especially the moth.
That's actually my thoughts as well, (also, overgrown insect is more of a RE thing) and so I came up with a slight redesign. It's a shame you can't post multiple images on newgrounds, unless you are a supporter.
