The space comic is just its own side thing that I did cause I knew the main comics are going to take a lot longer.

(In the future between main issues expect more side stories that aren’t entirely related to the main story).

ADDENDUM: I’m talking about the episode that face is from. When SpongeBob and Patrick lock themselves in Sandy’s frozen Treedome and they got the outlaws, Dirty Dan and Pinhead Larry, out of Sandy’s sleep-talking.

Honestly, a great question! As far as I know, I don't think it hurts them, but they do produce an excessive amount of tissue that sometimes needs to be trimmed in order for them to better see. I'm not too sure since I'm not a huge expert on Ranchus ;_;
