I don’t know if this is true in recent titles, but in Stadium 2, those teeth Crobat has are all underbite. God, it looked creepy in that game!

Yeah is so creepy! it's also like that in Colosseum, Gale of Darkness and Battle Revolution because they re-used the 3D models from past generations, but after gen 6 they stopped using that old 3D model.
