Oh I 100% agree. The town is set in a rather isolated place from what I have understood, and its hard to travel between towns and citys because of the undead and monsters that plauge the land. But the players where set in the same town, and the more they donated the better improvements that where enabled or something, and they wanted the donationbox by the well.

So thats where I put it haha.
