I wonder if any toy designers ever attempted this:

Use those joints as a bone structure while later covering it with a flexible material for the skin. This figure looks fantastic, although the tail is what’s triggering that idea in my head!

A lot of soft art dolls use a ball/socket armature similar to that, better than an elastic strung one that would need restringing after some time

Nwer had that channel where I live, but we did get an hour or two dumb shopping adds before morning cartoons and such on the weekends so I'm guessing it's similar to that

You just triggered a long abandoned memory of mine! I never drew myself as a stick figure, but I did make myself look like a thinner Lego figure… who was bald… Only god knows why!
