This game jam was my calling, man! Even if I was disqualified, I would still wouldāve loved to be apart of this; however, it was never meant to be. This is my story:
Iām a Clickteam user and Iāve noticed for a while that Clickteam has its own HTML5 Exporter! Iām thinking, āNeat! I can make my games on Clickteam Fusion and export them to be able to run on websites! Might need to do a little homework on HTML5, but thatās fine!ā. I thought exporting it was going to be the easy part while making the game compatible to Newgrounds was going to be hard part. So most of my week was invested on making the game āNewgrounds compatibleā while the final stretch was converting the game to HTML5ā¦ I regret that decisionā¦
Around Thursday morning (like Morning-morning, 2am or so), I bought and downloaded the *Clickteam HTML5 Export Module* and connected to my program. Tested it out in the afternoon, and the problems start here! Every time I try to build the game as an HTML file, the whole Clickteam program crashes: not the game, the program used to make said game! Why? Beats the hell outta me! Different things cause the whole program to crash, and adjusting them only offers one or two āsuccessfulā conversions every ten attempts.
Not like it matters though, the āsuccessfulā builds were only successful at being builds and nothing else. The HTML game skips codes, locks animations, frame rateās borked, most objects wonāt work, sound pops in and out, a lot of position instructions are inaccurate, and you canāt win or die during the first level. It was not a seamless transition: these issues donāt appear anywhere when the game is built as an .exe instead, but .exes canāt run on Newgrounds.
It was just a simple arcade game with a few pieces of necessary integrations exclusive for Newgrounds. Yes, it is OviVixen Arcade! You can download it here!

Yeah, I know itās not the sameā¦ But hopefully, I can someday bring something worthwhile for this community!
Now enough of that moping, Iām donating for this Jam instead! I just hope Tom will redirect the donation to it. It aināt much, but I have to bring something out for a great jam theme such as this š„! I wish all you participants the best of luck, and Iāll be rooting for you over at the Newgrounds bleachers! Crack some eggs for Godās sake! š³
